DPIIT Migrates Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum Services to National Single Window System

Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum

New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has announced the successful migration of Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum (IEM) services from the G2B portal to the National Single Window System (NSWS).

This digital transition is a key reform under the Government of India’s Ease of Doing Business initiative, aimed at providing a unified and streamlined digital interface for entrepreneurs and investors across the country.

IEM Services Now Available Exclusively on NSWS

All IEM-related services – including IEM Part-A acknowledgement, IEM Part-B filing, and IEM Part-A amendments – are now available only through the NSWS portal. The platform serves as a one-stop destination for multiple approvals and registrations required by businesses.

NSWS features include:

  • Auto-population of data from government databases to reduce duplication.
  • Real-time application tracking for enhanced transparency.
  • Integrated payment gateway for seamless online transactions.

Application Process for IEM on NSWS

Applicants must now register afresh on the NSWS portal, as earlier G2B credentials will no longer be valid. Required details include entity name, contact information, CIN, PAN, email, and authorized signatories.

For Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum Part-A filing, applicants must:
  • Select the “Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum (IEM)” service under Central Approvals.
  • Enter details such as sector, NIC code, product description, production capacity, investment, employment, annual turnover, and GST-based location details.
  • Make the prescribed payment online to generate an e-signed acknowledgement.

After commencing commercial production, applicants are required to submit Part-B filings with details of production commencement, capacity, and other relevant information. Any amendments to Part-A can also be filed on NSWS by paying the applicable fee.
